What is Gestalt psychotherapy?

So what is Gestalt Counselling and Psychotherapy?

It is a form of counselling and psychotherapy that promotes growing awareness and integration, and capacity for being present to what is, in the here-and-now - using the relationship between counsellor and client as a tool. The more we are able to be present to ourselves and others, in the moment, the more we are able to be choiceful and responsive in our lives, instead of operating on auto-pilot, and the more satisfying and meaningful our relationships with ourselves, others and the world can become.
